Bob, I looked up the address on file for you at QRZ from the "Nearest" map at http://www.dstarinfo.com/maps/Repeaters.aspx and here's the closest repeaters within about 30 miles to you. While it might not be handheld coverage, I suspect that you probably could get into W1NLK and K2DIG without much difficulty. So you might as well go ahead and invest in D-STAR :)
