Pardon my inexperience in D-Star.
I should perhaps have mentioned - I'm not primarily interested
in the 'quality' of digital voice.
... never mind the quality, feel the width ...
I'm working on a modernised store-and-forward system for emergency
communications via cubesats ... to replace the now defunt packet
satellitesin low earth orbit.
When both the Internet and your local telemast are down you're more often than
not snookered in getting your messages to a recipient.
