We use the CM108 chip with Thelinkbox, a multi-protocol VoIP client, and we can use the 4bit GPIO on the CM108 for the PTT and other digital IO requirements. That could be propably a good approach for you controller too, to get just a single wire from the controller to a radio! 73 Erik OH2LAK
