I need help. I have an ICOM IC-2200H with the UT-118 freshly installed. I have a gateway account on my local D-Star repeater. I logged on and I think I checked all the boxes and got one IP.
I "think" I have configured my 2200H correctly. I sorta understand the DV, but I never hear anyone on the radio. I am primarily interested in DD. I have D-Rats installed on my computer. I can connect to the def.d-rats.com ratflector. I also made a serial cable from the ICOM to my computer. D-Rats connects to the radio and when I "ping" or "chat", the ICOM hits the repeater, BUT I never seen any other stations (unlike when i'm on the RAT PORT). I was hoping all the DD (D-Rats) users on all the linked repeaters to my local repeater would pop up and I could chat and email them. Am I doing something wrong or am I totally confused about D-Star and what it can currently do??? KD5IVK marlin
