Subject: [D-STAR_Admins] Database Cleanup Report

Dear Gateway Administrators,

Last weekend, 60 inactive gateways that had not synchronized with the trust
server in more than 90 days, and were not checking into Dsync, were flagged
for deletion on the US Root trust sever. We plan on purging the flagged
gateways on Saturday evening (CDT).

Most of the gateways that have been flagged for deletion have zero or few
users so the impact of this action should be minimal.

For your convenience, we have compiled a report that details the gateways
that are flagged for deletion along with a list of the users who are
registered on each.

The report is here: http://dsync.

It is extremely important that you keep your gateways on the network and
functioning properly. If your gateway is experiencing a problem, please
notify the Trust Server Admins (trust-sever-
<mailto:trust-sever-admins%40dstarusers.org> [email protected])
immediately.

If you can not get your gateway back online and functioning properly in a
reasonable amount of time, we may be forced to purge it from US Root in
order to protect the integrity of our global network.

Any user who was registered on a gateway that was purged will need to
re-register on another gateway.

For those of you who run gateway systems that are only used periodically, we
ask that you leave the gateway computer attached to a working Internet
connection at all times. This way, it can remain current and will be ready
and reliable when you need it.

Regards,

Brian, NJ6N
US Root Trust Server Team
