I'm in agreement with Reg. A ham loaned me their dongle for a few
months so I could see how I would use it at home. I work from home so
using it during the day would not be good but I can see use while
traveling.

Here is what I feel like are "valid" dongle uses.

1) Traveling in hotel.
2) No D-Star repeater in range at home.
3) Link to a specific reflector and not use local repeater.

I would have to admit there have been times I've been on a reflector or
on a local repeater using the DVD and the only people I've spoken to
were using DVDs at the time.

I like the DVAP but for me, at home, the DVD makes more sense. I can
hit many repeaters from my house but sometimes I may want to go to a
specific one and I feel like I should not de-link KI4SBA and attach it
to KI4WXS. With a DVD, I have more control.
