Yeah, I know . and so when somone asks "so how's D-Star", I just politly say
"if, great, I'm loving it" and leave it at that unless they ask more. When /
if someone whos curious asks "whats there to like" I just politly say that
its opened the world to me in that without working DX on HF, I just
effortlessly choose what community I want to visit and I'm there . and I
leave it at that. I suspect that some are maybe feeling like they'd like to
know more. As though they're fighting the curiosity. Bizarre!

Donald,

I hear that sort of complaint a lot, but usually from folks who never 
have played with it, and aren't too technically astute. They don't 
really care to try a new technology, and thus are intimidated by it, or 
at least are afraid of it.

Tonight, someone asked me why we were putting up a digital voice system. 
My answer was, "Because it's a new technology to play with." The respone 
to that was, "Uh, oh, OK!"
