David Rowe, VK5DGR has restarted work on the open-source Codec2 vocoder! He's
shooting for an alpha release by the end of 2010, but would really like help on
C development! See the forwarded message below (from the Codec2 mailing list).
His website for Codec2 is: http://www.rowetel.com/blog/?page_id=452

Hello,

I've started working on codec2 again.  I plan to get an alpha 2400 bit/s
version released in 2010.  Current tasks:

+ exploring LSP quantiser design

+ determine why phase models sound worse when combined with LPC/LSP

I would still really appreciate some help on C coding issues like
writing a command line codec2 VOIP client that uses codec2 and some
re-factoring of the C code.

Cheers,

David
