Mike, I run the following in my truck: TM-700 dualbander, ID880H, IC-7000, and a RELM VHF commercial radio. There are six antennas on the roof of my fullsize ford crewcab pickup spaced in two rows of three antennas.
While I obviously desense the other VHF radios while transmitting on one of them, I have not experienced any damage to any of them, although I think there is a slight possibility of doing so. 73 de Tim, AF1G ---- Mike Murphy <[email protected]> wrote: ============= I am considering adding an Icom 880 to the car along with the Icom 2720 that is already installed. My concern is having 2 radios on the same band blasting 50 watts into the other receiver. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill or is having 2 radios on the same band running that much power a bad idea?
