Hi Rick: The 880 is a great rig. I own two of them. Make sure to Pickup either the OPC-1529R or OPC-478UC programming cables. You can then head over to Icom and download the programming software: http://www.icom.co.jp/world/support/download/firm/IC-80AD_E_ID-880H_E/1_00/index.html
Take a look at the Georgia Dstar Site: http://www.dstarinfo.com/ There are repeater listings you can save into that software, plus a whole bunch of other info like the Dstar Calculator that explains programming the radios.
