Well, it would be nice to have such a utility, i remember my cousin once told me something about her project, a MDA which uses mailstore with SQL as backend, she codes in VC++, i would write her if you have any queries. Have you ever used beagle? It can be used to index mails but since your archive is a lot bigger than what I have on my desktop, i am not sure whther it wil be useful for you. But i would be happy if you give a try and see the performance. I have another interesting piece of software zoe (http://zoe.nu/), Its free (creative commons license) and very nice. I have it in my desktop, it works fine.
