Dear Stoma,

Warm welcome to the group - it is a good sign that people do come after 2 years and that it does not procrastinate the growth of the LUG gradually.

We have not met last time due to month of Ramadan but will continue. I would like volunteers to host LUG meeting for November.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Abdul Rehman

Subject: [dubailug] New LUG mail list member: Introductions

Greetings, everyone.
My name is Milen, I'm 27 years old and I come from Bulgaria. I've been
using various Linux flavours for umm... 7 years now. Wow, time flies
like an arrow!
Don't have much LUG experience though. Well, I've delivered several
talks on F/OSS at local events (about HPC and clustering, resource
aggregation, etc), got some Linux InstallFest organization
experience... but that's about it.
It's my second year with Etisalat and in the Emirates; working as a
consultant and IT trainer (doing some Solaris, C/C++ and entry-level
Cisco networking courses for our staff).
Oh, almost forgot. I started with Slackware, went through BeOS, SuSe,
and Debian, but currently living on Gentoo. I like to compile stuff
from source while taking a nap on the keyboard ;-)
Regards!
