And Im trying to point out that what you are calling "problems" only
exist under the following circumstances:
1 - you care about the multiplatform use of your drivers (because your
home pc has a slot for sparc, another for intel and another for powerpc)
2 - you are boring and pedantic
Those 2 aside, the idea is a whole lot of fun and the link I shared has
some great stuff on it, including a library of I/O routines for
assembler and assembly wrappers for the system calls.
