Dear group,
I am primarily a Linux Admin, but lately have been asked to administer
AIX on an IBM Pseries as well. To understand AIX better, I need to do
some research and development on the OS. Naturally, I cannot do this on
the production server, which is used for storage solutions. (It has an
IBM TotalStorage SCSI enclosure with 5 disks attached.)
Can I install AIX on my desktop? I have an Intel 845 box as well as an
Intel 810i box. Is AIX 4L compatible with these?
