What do you do on a daily basis?
If you're able to do what you need to do easily with a gui, stick with
the gui.
Let us know what tasks you usually carry out on your system and you
might get some useful advice.
On my Windows laptop at home, I use the gui for everything. On Solaris
and Linux I tend to use the command line.
