SO there I was guys , looking for a Java Application Server, an
Oracle Server and some storage. I got my self a quote from a Sun
Reseller, and then thought, for a laugh why don't I look at apple.
Being a BSD guy, I found this very appealing.
So after some digging, and some pricing I discovered that apple not
only met my requirements, both from a hardware and a software aspect,
and hey it was certified to run the oracle application server and the
db. but it was also less thn half the price. So I ordered aload of
OS X Servers, some Xserve RAID.
Shall keep you guys posted on this as it develops...
(PS we are talking PPC architecture, not Intel)
