Hi,
My Boot Order is CDROM > Floppy> Harddisk ....but there  is something with my Bios, I have Dapper 6 Disk with me, They dont boot on the pc,  other bootable disks work ( I burned the Dapper disk alright, it works on my laptop) ... So I was wondering if I could Boot the disk using grub, I lear'nt that I cant.. So I just added dapper sources to my apt-get sourceslist and did a
apt-get dist-upgrade
on Ubuntu Breezy and I got dapper :D , Now to just figure out how to get this eagle-usb (Aztech DSL206U ) to work in Dapper, I hate this modem, Lots of problems !

When you start up your computer, it searches for places to boot from
in a certain order.  These places usually include floppy disk, CD-ROM
and hard disk.

The order is important.  If you can't boot from CD-ROM right now, it's
probably because the hard disk is being searched _before_ the CD.

You can change the search order from the BIOS (so long as it's not
password protected, like at the office).  While the computer is
booting up (just after memory check), you can usually enter the BIOS
setup utility by hitting F1 or Del.  Get in there, navigate from one
menu to another, and you'll find a way to specify the boot device order.

This BIOS utility is built into your computer, and has nothing to do
with which operating system you have installed on your hard disk (or
on the CD-ROM).

PS: this all assumes you're using a PC.
