The ls command mostly just dumps the characters to the terminal. For
example if you have control characters in a filename jump move the
cursor backwords, that's what the cursor would do. Step 2 only applies
if you cannot see Arabic characters at all in your Terminal.
BTW: Has someone managed to see Arabic characters in an Eterm?
