Hi All,

Kick me if I'm stupid, but I have a problem sharing a Cable modem connection via a Wireless Access Point.

The cable modem in question is the eCompany-supplied Motorola SurfBoard 4200, and the WAP is a standard Linksys Wireless-G job.

Connecting a PC to the WAP is a doddle.  I've set the WAP to get a DHCP-assigned address for the external interface, but it never smells one!   If I connect a laptop to the cable modem with a cross-over cable, I get an address pretty quick.

I've tried connecting the WAP and cable modem with cross-over and regular network cables, but no luck.

has anybody else done this before.

thanks

Sean
