On a similar line,HP's pavilion d1000 series laptop,which my friend bought last week,doesn't have installtion media or recovery media.HP added one partition in the maindisk with a recovery software.U've an option for recovery while booting.that's all.

Are we supposed to get a windows (or whatever OS ) copy alongwith the laptop/pc?
