Hi, I am having a problem while installing CentOS 4.3 64bit on Super
Micro mother board and 3ware controller. The mother board is X6DVL-EGG2 motherboard and the
raid card is 3ware 9550SX 8 port. I have 500 GB western digital 8 hard disk made with 1 array
of 3.19tb and I have 2 sata HDD of 80 GB for loading operating systems and
boot. This 2 stat disk is connected to the mother board stat port and I created
a raid 1 out of this 2 disks. I am facing following problems:- 1) The Hence
Rapid driver from super micro site is not recognizing by operating system.
Hence I am not able to load the operating system on this raid 1 disk. 2) I tried to
avoid that and tried everything on the 3ware drive. Centos will take the driver
disk and shows me 3ware-9xxx driver loading. But it doesn’t boot from
there either. I have tried this by portioning the disk to smaller size as well
(say 100mb boot + 10 GB root alone). May I ask the lug if any one had experience with Centos so
that I could speak to them and get some feed back? I think if I could speak any
of the lug members who worked with Centos 4.3 64 bit, I could explain the situation
bit more clear. Any input from your side would be really appreciated. Thanks Rajeev O50 5247785 YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS
