I'm looking to source an entry level 1U server locally. Not interested in Xeon,
I'd rather AMD64 or
Opteron with hot swappable SATA drives.
Planning on running Debian on the box so linux hardware compatibility is a must.
Anything about at reasonable prices or do I just keep trawling E-bay ?
I'm really after a single Dual core proc max, with perhaps 2GB of ram and a
pair of sata bays on the
front panel. Serial port with serial console bios access would be nice, but a
straight serial port
is ok too. Single eth interface is all that is required and 100Base-T would be
fine.
Other than that my requirements are pretty loose.. but I'm not picky :)
