Hey, I've got a few domains registered with register4less.com. I like them since: 1 - things work 2 - if things don't work (only once!), they have actual live people to answer your questions, AND they actually read your question before giving you a stupid answer 3 - they sponsor UserFriendly - say no more! Regards Sean Brad Campbell wrote: __._,_.___G'day all, Well, I sorted the 1U server question. When I sat down and thought about the utilisation of the device I decided that it would just be huge overkill. I need a dedicated box, so a VPS was just not gonna cut the mustard, but to start with a 1U server was going to be pver provisioned by a huge amount. In stumbling over the web looking at co-lo's I stumbled across one that offers great rates for co-locating mac-minis, so I've gone with that to start with. It'll do until I ramp things up far enough to require something with a few balls. Had a detailed look at the Sun boxes, and fell in love with them. My next server will be one of those for sure. Feature list is well comparable with the competition and the pricing is only slightly higher than your average generic white box 1U, but you get the Sun 3 yr warranty and service. On that note, Sun's on-line web store in the US is fantastic, while the middle-east web store is typical of most middle eastern web presences and about as much use as a hip pocket in a singlet. Oh well.. Now I need to register some .com domains (mainly). So I'm looking at registrars. Man, some of these guys look worse than used car salesmen! I'm just looking for a registrar that will allow me to change my own dns delegation settings and generally stay out of my way, but will allow transfers to another registrar if they get up my nose too much. Is that too much to ask? On the topic of registrations, I notice that Golden Sun (or should that be Golden Shower) has registered about every possible website that relates to dubai and lug.. bastards.. Not only that, but the pages point to some retarded spam/advertising page.. Gotta love the page header though.. <head> <title>Taking you where Linux Mattes </title> Obviously lots of time, thought and a reference Oxford or Collins went into writing that.. This was about the only definition that was worthy of the (s) pluralisation, and in the context of linux it's pretty bereft of meaning. matte 2 Pronunciation (mt) A mixture of a metal with its sulfides, produced by smelting the sulfide ores of copper, lead, or nickel.
