Hi Bipin, I guess you have mounted the Win2k partition to a directory where your user has no rights. You have 2 options: 1 - remount the partition to a directory where your current user DOES have rights 2 - su to root and copy the files as the root user. Regards Sean Bipinchandra Ranpura wrote: __._,_.___Hello to all I need help to copy files from NTFS harddisk.I had Windows 2000 OS installed. Unfortunately now I can not restart. I want to take backup before i reinstall/reformat. I can mount Win2k harddisk, I can see all files but I can not copy any files. It gives message you do not have enough permission. Pls. suggest some way to copy files on my Linux hard disk. Thanks in advance. Bipin __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
