G'day mobsters
Well, the big news is we have secured dxb.ae.linux.org. Actually, a little
group of us has secured
the delegation for ae.linux.org and we decided that dxb.ae was probably better
than the others we
came up with. We will be managing ae.linux.org by closed committee and will be
happy to talk to any
other linux promoting organisation across the emirates for links or subdomain
delegation. (questions
on an ae.linux.org home are welcome to [EMAIL PROTECTED])
We are in the process of a rudimentary web site and gnu-mailman, and we expect
to have a list
configured at [EMAIL PROTECTED] sometime soon (free time dependant).
What we are lacking is someone with the time to come up with an effective web
site, so we throw the
question to the crowd. Does someone with some knowledge and free time want to
knock up a web site
for DubaiLug?
We have a strong possibility of a relatively permanent and regular home for
regular monthly
meetings/workshops and we are also vigorously pursuing this option with a hope
to announce something
firm in a couple of weeks at most.
