Hi Todd, and thanks for replying. What I need is some information & opinion. I am teaching a couple of Linux courses at Abu Dhabi Mens College. The courses do a decent job of covering basic skills for getting around a Linux system, for example, basic bash commands, user/group management, file permissions/ownership, disk management. I would like to push my students a little more in the direction of system administration. What skills are needed in the marketplace these days? I would guess that process management and scripting would be needed, but what else?
Thanks. Peter Heath. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Todd Walton Sent: Sunday, January 14, 2007 11:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [dubailug] Linux Sys Admins On 1/14/07, profadourman <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:pheath%40hct.ac.ae> > wrote: > Hi all.
