I second that! I've got both a VPS and a dedicated server (Needed 2 for secondary MX and DNS). I run tinyproxy on both of them and use OpenVPN to string it all together. It's the ducks nuts! If I were just after a proxy, the VPS is quite cost effective and easy to set up and maintain. (Oh, and *fast*).
