Hi I just joined the list so I thought an introduction was in order.
My name is Magnus Nystedt and I run www.emiratesmac.com, home of EmiratesMac Apple User Group. So yes, I'm a Mac fan ;-) But I'm also a big open source fan (and Macs make for great open source machines), and I run Linux at home from time to time and I'm always interested in exploring new things. Not long ago I installed Ubuntu on an Apple Powerbook and it worked just great. I'll be following the list for a while to see what's going on. Perhaps we could combine some of our common interests in open source and do some event or something together. We also publish a newsletter called shuffle, currently printed in 2000 copies. I'd love to have a regular open source column in there ;-) And it could be a bit of advertising for DubaiLUG. I'm glad I found this place! Take care and long life FOSS! Magnus
