Senior Technical Consultant Specific Skills
- Linux administration with extensive experience on OpenSuSE, SLES, and Fedora Core - Solaris administration - BASH shell scripting - Network design and administration with solid IPTables, IPSEC VPN, TCP/IP, and routing experience - LDAP. Specifically LDAP replication and using LDAP database for centralised user authentication - Squid Proxy server with experience using squid in proxy server hierarchies using authenticating, non-authenticating and transparent configurations. - SNORT Intrusion Detection System deployed in-line and stand alone. - HA Heartbeat with Ldirectord. - Zenoss core monitoring solution - BIND Domain Name Server - Postfix SMTP server with spamassassin and clam AV - DHCPD Linux based DHCP server - SAMBA - Packetfence Network Access Controll system - MS Windows terminal server - SunRay software and thin clients Profile In addition to the specific technical skills outlined above, the successful applicant will have a solid background in solutions architecture and systems integration with solid experience using FOSS. A thorough understanding of Information security concepts, as well as the ability to write technical documentation, conduct audits and compile reports are requirements for this position. The successful applicant will be self motivated, and goal oriented, working unsupervised to produce defined deliverables.
