Since last few months I and some of my friends were trying to host free
monthly open source workshop and seminar targeting non -Linux IT support
professionals (www.destinationopensource.com). Aim in conducting the workshop
was to make non Linux/Unix IT support people more confident in giving open
source solutions in the following areas.
* Mail Sever
* DHCP and DNS server setup
* Samba as PDC and File and Print Server
* Internet Sharing
* Fax Solution
* IP-PBX
* Document Management Solution
* VPN Solutions
For conducting workshop / seminar, we are in search of a meeting place in
BurDubai.The frequency of the seminar will be once in a month ,duration will be
maximum of 2 hours.
We would like to approach Organization or Institute for providing meeting
place. Maximum no of attendees wont be more than 20. In return for helping us ,
organization generosity would be highlighted by having (organization)’s name
and logo placed on (www.destinationopensource.com)’s website and on our
advertisement pamphlets.
If any one interested in helping out with a meeting place
(it could be in their office/ institute premises also) , please let me know off
list.
