But before doing so I was curious of the hardware and thus disassembled it. Quite easy to disassemble. 4 screws for the removal of the cover, 5 more screws holding the second back packed pcb which carries at least the wifi antenna an 5 Clips holding the Lcd. After reassembling the SBC it booted again. Seems like the connector between the two boards had connection problems.
Maybe other SBCS can be revived similarly. Nothing to loose but 5 minutes of time.
