it does not :) it only says so , its a placeholder , its missleading it should say "converted to flac" or something imho :) The actual bit rate will be higher if the player supports it . The squeezeboxes that support 24/96 are Touch and transporter the rest apart from some really old ones are 24/48 . So the interface does not actually figure out the actual conveersion rate . The curius can activite some logging and see the actual SoX paraameeters in the log . Software players can vary ask thier authors .
