I have a receiver which for some reason gets stuck waiting for DHCP - for all other devices on same segment DHCP works. . The only solution I found was to use Net::UDAP https://github.com/robinbowes/net-udap
Net::UDAP is a very technical solution and is probably only a last resort and only if you are comfortable with command line applications. There is an Android based verson of Net::UDAP.
