Thanks a lot for the fast answer. Unfortunately the external power unit
(PSU) is not the problem. I've already measured it and the
current/voltage curve looks like it's new device :-)

I guess, it's more of an internal power supply that is not stable. Or
actually the contacts of the battery. I just put slight pressure from
above and the controller started up smoothly at least. Now a small piece
of cardboard is between the housing and the battery and let's see what
happens.
