Thanks for the quick response! 'Here is a thread about it' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?100968-Player-Firmware-versions-if-server-is-LMS-7-8) from six years ago (initiated by yourself, actually). That thread contains 'a link to the firmware files' (http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.8.0/). So I downloaded jive_7.8.0_r16739.bin to my computer and transferred it to an SD card. Put the card in the Controller, fire up the Controller, and initiate the update. But it still tries to download (and still fails). What more do I need to do? What I'm using is actually a microSD card in a caddy. Maybe the controller can't handle that? I'm not sure what the file system is, but the card works in both my Android phone and Windows 10. Also, the earlier thread makes reference to a .version file, which I didn't copy. I'll try that now, but something tells me the Controller is just not recognizing or looking at the SD card. I think if it sees the SD card, there should be some indication that it's trying to access it. The Wiki used to have instructions for how to do this, but they seem to be gone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dpotts's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29782 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114710
