Thanks a lot for the note. I will never be able to figure this out myself.
I confirm SuperLU4.2 worked for me. The only caveat is that I have to install
blas library. The one shipped with SuperLU compiled but has linking error.

the latest SuperLU 4.3 changed the interface. I recommend to use SuperLU
4.2 with Dune 2.1, as far as I know nobody had troubles with SuperLU 4.2.
Dune 2.2-svn (aka trunk) supports SuperLU 4.3.
