I browsed through the handbook, and indeed there are pictures where I would fear that the Tikz-code would be that elaborate that only few persons will be able (or willing) to edit it afterwards: Fig 8.1, 8.2, and probably 3.3. Which means only 3.1 and 3.2 is easily tikzable...
