Hi Christoph, Guess you did not get my question properly. I am not having any
problem with LINUX but it is the DuMuX and DUNE base question. Or can i come to
University of Stuttgart to see you in person. It is the installation and
building of DuMuX on DUNE. I have gone through chapter 2 and 12 of the
handbook, but i am not getting any breakthrough with the installation and
building. I have also tried following the command line on the manual but having
challenges. PLEASE I DON'T MIND COMING TO SEE YOU IN PERSON SO THAT THIS
PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED.

Thanks.

Regards,
Okpu Onne Ambrose.

Subject: [DuMuX] How to install DUNE and DuMuX

Good to hear that you could have a look at our handbook. Which part did
you read? The getting started in chapter 2 or chapter 12 with the
detailed installation instructions?

The command you tried to run is
./dune-common/bin/dunecontrol --opts=dumux/debug.opts all
You can have a look into the subfolder dumux and you will see that there
are the files debug.opts and optim.opts. You have to chose one, for
developing the debug.opts is the better one.
You are right, that this line is difficult to understand. Might I ask
from where do you have it? We should be change and clarify the example!

No need to yell around. Actually most of our users are in a similar
situation. Nevertheless you'll have to catch up with a lot of things.
You need to get used to working on a terminal instead of clicking on a
graphical user interface, you need to understand advanced C++, and get
what we do in DuMuX. The handbook is by far the most step-by-step thing
you will find.

How do you image this? We try to do research and write scientific
software. We are not teaching Linux basics. You can simply ask a local
Linux guru or half-guru. Let's wait until you get really DuMuX-specific
questions.

Hope that helps
Christoph
