Servus Dumux,

in an LH2-internal meeting today, we discussed the future usage of C++11
in Dumux and the resulting minimum compiler requirements. We would like
to set this minimum compiler requirement to GCC 4.6 and Clang 3.1.

GCC 4.6 appeared in March 2011, which will be three years after the next
Dumux release in March/April 2014. The clusters that members of our LH2
group currently run Dumux on fulfill this requirement.

Please let us know if you need to build your Dumux applications with
older compiler versions.

If we don't receive any objections, we will allow to use the
corresponding C++11 features in Dumux, so that the trunk can rely on GCC
4.6 as minimum rather soon and the 2.5 release will mostly for sure.

Kind regards
Bernd
