This is bad for two reasons: - first, it leads to errors, as many people assume that the input file is used. - second, theses parameters were given for a reason. Mostly the overwriting is done in order to have faster execution and the parameters are specified in order to test the modeled physics. We need to get to a decision, or at least clarity, in this respect.
