I would recommend this paper on how the thermal- and chemical non-equilibrium is realized in DuMuX: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0017931014002178 If you are looking for a similar example in DuMuX you can have a look at the test: test/porousmediumflow/mpnc/kinetic/ I hope that helps.
