Hi Bernd, Hi Dmitry,
thanks for the warm welcome. Thank you also for the recommendations! I'll look into the issues and comment on the issue I'd like to work on. Kind regards, Torben ________________________________ Von: DuMux <[email protected]> im Auftrag von Flemisch, Bernd <[email protected]> Gesendet: Mittwoch, 7. I'd consider the following issues to be "small good first issues": - https://git.iws.uni-stuttgart.de/dumux-repositories/dumux/-/issues/1202: This is about modifying an existing Python script to add as an output an additional file. Very local, you just have to work on that particular script and test with an appropriate use case. - https://git.iws.uni-stuttgart.de/dumux-repositories/dumux/-/issues/1191: One has to augment the files in the repository with licensing information in a specific format. This touches the whole code base, but scripting it should be not so hard. - https://git.iws.uni-stuttgart.de/dumux-repositories/dumux/-/issues/1187: The CI should be extended to additionally build the Doxygen documentation. Interesting, as it requires you to look into continuous integration. None of the issues requires any porous media modeling knowledge or getting into the C++ details of Dumux. If you are interested, I can share the code with you for academic purposes, and if you want to contribute to DuMux, you rework that code and have it merged eventually. Part of the lecture's goal is to contribute to open-source software. I would like to contribute to DuMuX over the course of the next few months. Can you recommend a small good first issue that needs to be tackled, maybe an existing issue? Or do you have something in mind that is not an issue yet? I looked through the latest existing issues and found nothing that immediately looked like something suitable, but I am not very experienced in open-source software development, and possibly have missed something. sincerely, Torben Schiz _______________________________________________ DuMux mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://listserv.uni-stuttgart.de/mailman/listinfo/dumux
