In that case, do you have any info, or pointers to info, that discuss the use of the precache option and building a tiered approach whereby phones register with 'registration' servers and they precache that registration info to higher-level 'dundi servers' that server the data? The docs imply that this is possible, not no other evidence exists in the known universe.

We support Dundi on our network which now has 1 million registered users.

Many users of Gizmo Project VOIP/IM client use Dundi indirectly or directly since we added Asterisk support to Gizmo Project.

Let me phrase it in a more politically correct way, sensitive to American ears.

Why does this list get very little discussion?
Why does Digium not provide good documentation for DUNDi?
Is it because no one is really using it, and there isn't much interest out there in the protocol? 
Why is that?
