KOHA is a scalable fully web based Open Source Integrated Library System used by more than one thousands libraries around the world. Among the challenges faced by libraries in Malaysia is the lack of awareness of KOHA, its advantages, expertise and trained staff to use it. The workshop is targeted to address some of these issues and minimise the impact of other related problems.
Among other objectives of the Workshop were: i. To create awareness on the benefits of using Open Source Software. ii. To introduce KOHA as an Integrated Library management System iii. To exchange information, knowledge and experience in using KOHA for Library management. iv. To initiate the establishment of a Malaysian KOHA User Group.
