more questions about Wireless networks...
I just read about the airport-compatible "Airstation" sold
by techworks. It has a 10/100 ethernet connection, as
opposed to the 10BT Apple AirPort. Does that mean that
files can be transfered wirelessly at 100BT speeds? And
what about the PCMCIA and Airport cards, are they capable
of handling 100BT? If so, then does the 2400 need to be
Cardbus enabled?
also, there is the Orinoco "Gold" card which has 128 bit
encryption, as opposed to the 40 bit Airport. First, does
anyone know if its compatible with Apple's Airport
technology and second, is it useless since the other nodes
on the network are only 40 bit?
