I have a duo where this happened. I had the metal brass nut that was
attached to the plastic back. All I did (and it seems to work), is to seat
the nut into what was left of the plastic holder with some "Goop", then I
put some Goop around the outside (not too much though). Let it dry 24 hr,
and you should be ok. Try not to let any Goop get into the nut itself.
I bet there is a better way, but Im not much of a handyman.
