Palm 1 was a disaster, a Windoze app that was cludged for Mac users and never worked quite right. I believe it required an FPU, which the 230 doesn't have out of the dock. So if you get the hotsync app to find the port, you could be opening the door to a wonderful world of dirty treetrunks. The world of port management with a duo is something I have had trouble and cunfusion about now and then because I liked to use the internal modem on mine. It required using the Powerbook control panel to select the external port, I think, but other listees would be better informed about that. But Palm 1.0 should be used only by our enemies.
