I am trying to get my DuoDock operable in a dormitory again after
summer break. During the summer my 2300c was with me in Israel and
various other places, had a new 32meg RAM chip installed and worked
perfectly. Now I have the Dock and monitor set up with power, Ethernet
and other cables, but the Duo gives a Sad Mac face and a 4-tone chord
and dies on startup. I tried to zap the PRAM (apple-option-P-R) but it
doesn't seem to do anything with the keyboard attached to the
Dock. Zapping the PRAM works fine on the Duo when outside the Dock and
it starts up normally. Please offer assistance and suggestions! Mail
back to me privately, as I'm on the digest and want to fix it as
quickly as possible. Thanks!

Michael Zwirn

p.s. similar situation with my 210, but that's just a thirty dollar
toy with no real work on it. I'd like it to work too, of course.
