I have just got me a E-machines Etherdock from eBay, but find it is unhappy
with my 2300c:
If I start the machine with an ethernet cable plugged into it (it takes the
RJ45 type) I find that it freezes on startup, at one or another point during
the Extensions loadup.
Even if I restart without extensions, what tends to happen is that the
machine freezes solid after about two minutes. Only a full restart will get
it going again.
This happened last week with my old and known-problematic 7.6.1 installation
- it now has a fresh installation of 8.1, and the same occurs.

Does anyone with experience of these things, have any ideas on what is
happening here? Is there maybe another extension or control p. that I am
supposed to have, to drive the dock?
Many thanks,
