I just got a 2300 motherboard and have booted it up. It chimes ok and
goes into the normal boot cycle.
Everytime it finishes booting, the shutdown dialog box appears (not
the "incorrectly shutdown" warning box, but the dialog as if you
pressed the power key) and keep popping up every couple of seconds ,
on a random basis. I am baffled and the only problem I can see on
the board is that one leg of the 603 chip appears to have a contact
with another leg. I dont know if that is deliberate or not.
I tried zapping the PRAM, but it almost seems like the motherboard
thinks there is a phantom keyboard constantly hitting the power
key..... I am perplexed !
